Five community members met at 10am via Google Meet to discuss items on the agenda. The bulletin board that is now posted on the side of the south washroom on the beach will be charging for business advertising as a source of revenue for FOLF. Specific details are posted on the door of the Summer Village office and on the bulletin board. We are also accepting personal advertisements for services or items for sale free of charge. Please contact Kathy Whiteside at the Village office if you are interested.
FOLF is writing a letter to support the grant the Marina Association. They are proposing to dredge the beach and marina area between the North jetty and south jetty. The committee is also planning to meet with the CAO and Public Works dept. to discuss the installation of the garbage & beverage recycling containers as well as the Trail Signage that FOLF created with the grant monies they received last year. Be sure to check out the wildflower garden soon to be popping up on the beachfront. Thanks to Barb and Laurence Rooney for all their work and expertise on this great project! Minutes from the meeting will be posted once they are approved by all that were in attendance.

As a full time, year-round resident of Parkland Beach, I try to understand the needs of all that use the lakefront and beach to help guide the committee in its planning and recommendations in order to report to the council of the Summer Village of Parkland Beach.
