About Us

Friends of the Lake Front (FOLF) together with the Sunnyside Poulsen's Pasture Community Association (SSPPCA), Ponoka County, Westlake Society, and the Summer Village of Parkland Beach (SVPB) have worked towards building and enhancing the waterfront and beach area along the Northwest side of Gull Lake, Alberta. 

Accomplishments

  • applied for Grant Funding
  • installed a new North washroom
  • renovated and redesigned the South washroom 
  • installed a new playground on the beach
  • installed new, safer sand under the playground 
  • added new sand to volleyball and beach area
  • filled in low lying grass areas from washouts
  • hired Tagish Engineering to  dredge the swim area 
  • installed work-out equipment on the beach
  • upgraded and installed garbage receptacles 
  • designed and installed informational signage on the beach pathways
  • maintain community bulletin board on the south washroom
  • created & maintain the Disc Golf Course
  • design and maintain an ice rink on the lake during the winter months
